Henri Matisse exhibition, Jazz, final proofs

A major exhibition is at the Galerie de l'Institut in Paris until 23 April 2022: Henri Matisse, "Jazz", the previously unseen final proofs of the compositions produced for the famous book published past Tériade in 1947. Matt Miller

Matt Miller is an artist working in paint and melted polystyrene in Brooklyn, U.s.. Following his graduation from Michigan State Academy, Matt Miller secured a studio near his parents' dwelling in West Michigan. It was there that he began considering how to create new surfaces to paint on. He was reminded of all the styrofoam cups and packaging he had melted with his mother's smash polish remover as a kid.

Kevin Ho

Kevin Ho is a watercolour artist based in Kingston, Jamaica. His pieces are representational, highly detailed, renderings that resemble the terminate of an oil painting rather than that of many watercolors that announced sketchy in nature. Kevin's trunk of work is diverse in its discipline matter consisting of animals, florals and landscapes but a special emphasis on the human figure where he aims to capture the spirit of the model with emotion and realism. Many of his pieces are commissions at present in individual collections across Jamaica.

Astrid Wielinga

Urban Anna, alias Astrid Wielinga, is a cocky-taught artist. She only started with watercolour in October 2020. Her mission is making the mundane magical! In her art she likse to capture the dazzler in worldly architecture. Her objects are from all over the world. She paints pubs, shopfronts and other colourful facades.

Karlyn Shahnazarian

Karlyn Shahnazarian is a wife and mother commencement, teacher by 24-hour interval and artist by night. Her art journeying has only just begun, and she excited to be exploring traditional equally well as uncovering new watercolour techniques. Her style is heavily influenced past her two homes: Ontario, Canada and California, USA. She is lucky to accept grown up in both places and her favourite landscapes are a spousal relationship of both Ontario and California. Her artworks celebrate texture and blur the lines between abstract and realism. She is in love with the process and and then grateful to take discovered watercolour.

THE SIGNATURE OF A Dandy BRAND

In 1492, principal papermakers were already making paper by paw in the Arches paper factory located in the Vosges region of French republic. The Arches paper mill is at present the just one in French republic to manufacture all its fine fine art and press papers using cylinder moulds.

The cylinder mould process combined with the use of a natural raw cloth – cotton – produces very high quality paper that is as good as the finest handmade papers. This traditional method is the best manner of making luxury paper that is stable, watermarked, with a natural grain and deckle edges.

Keen artists like Édouard Manet, Edgar Degas, Paul Cézanne, Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, Henri Matisse, Raoul Dufy, Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Marc Chagall, Joan Miro, René Magritte, Salvador Dali, Pierre Soulages, Zao Wou Ki, Roy Lichtenstein, Bernard Buffet, Andy Warhol, Pierre Alechinsky, and many more than, have produced some of their major works on ARCHES® paper.
